The email my Daddy sent me today:
On Wednesday of this week, at two minutes and three seconds after 1:00 AM in the morning, the time and date will be 01:02:03 04/05/06. That won't ever happen again.

So now you're informed.

Tell your Daddy: 1. Yes it will, in 100 years' time! and 2) it will also happen again on 4th May if you're European. ;-) (Sadly our US trip is timed just too late for us to experience both occasions 'properly'.)

There's also 11:10:09 08/07/06, which comes in July for us and August for you.

And I much prefer the European way of dating, and it's what I use in my notes. But I write it out so that today is 4 April 2006. That way it's not confusing.

Just that thought occured to Mike last evening. Except for the "that won't ever happen again" part, because yeah, unless we drastically change our calendar system, it'll happen again in 2106. Interestingly, the very next entry in my friends list is someone else posting much the same thing (among other things), and I don't think you know her (since it's someone I know from brunchma.com rather than AU).

Still, yay for fun with dates.
