So, Monday I went to class, turned in a paper, and then learned about something (deaccessioning, I think, and loans). Then I got on the Metro and went to the place where you get on the bus, got on the bus to the airport, checked my bag, went through security, and then got on a plane (I got to the gate around 5 minutes before scheduled boarding, which is 30 minutes before take-off). And then my Daddy met me at the airport and I've been home ever since. Yesterday I wrote a paper and emailed it to the prof. Then I dusted, and I did some today as well. It was fun, because dusting has always my favorite chore, because I like getting up close with the stuff. Our living room bookshelves have all the great leatherbound books (including, for some reasons, two copies of Women in Love and two copies of volume one of The Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire. I get why we have two seperate editions of Women in Love, but the other makes no sense) and we have cool knicknacks and stuff. I did the china cabinet today, which involved dusting and some windex for the glass shelves. I was so afraid I was going to break something. I have to say that the Swiffer dusting mitts are super cool.
Also went to the grocery store yesterday, which was fun, and saw my old High School principal there.
Today we saw Ring of Fire (which was good, the only thing that would have made it better for me is if Joaquin Pheonix had taken off his undershirt). Then we went to dinner and came home. Talked to Kate, watched Lost (by myself) and Law and Order (with the parents). Tomorrow I vacuum and mop, and of course eat lots of turkey. Friday I fly back to DC, Saturday I work. If I didn't have those pesky classes to go to, and work, I'd just stay here. I like being home.
