Today, I went to class, and we learned about copyright and VARA (Visual Artists Rights Act). I know you're jealous. Actually, it's kind of interesting, and these classes have definitely had more questions than any other class. And I cheat and ask Ashley when I don't get a chance to ask in class. Then I went off to do errands- dropped off some checks at the bank (and on the way discovered a place right near campus where I can get an eye exam and where I can get watches repaired). Walked through this place that's kind of a mall (was looking for someplace for lunch) and when I came out found a Radio Shack. So I went in and bought new headphones. My old ones (which I loved- I bought them in Berlin and they folded and stuff) were only giving me sound out of the left ear (well, sometimes if you jiggled things you could get proper stereo, but it wasn't reliable). I got one of those packages where you get 3 pairs for $9.99 (clip on the ear, over the head and ear buds). I intend to use the clip on ones as my primaries, though they may end up being painful. Then I had lunch and caught the bus home. It was a good day, I got lots of walking in, and the weather here's been great. A nice Indian Summer. I should be working on homework right now, but, you know. And I'm hungry, so there may be food soon.

So did you get the Coby brand or the red no-name brand set? I stopped over there today based on your experience cuz I recently broke erich's ear buds and I didn't have my own set to begin with. However, I find that nearly all brands of ear buds are too big for my ears and continuously fall out. I bet the kind that go with the ipod would fit me but that's moot since I don't have an ipod or plan on getting one. Are they the only ones that make those kinds of earbuds? Anyway, I ended up getting the red no-name ones because the over-the-head part looked interesting and I already have 1 pair at home that's the traditional, old-school style. However, I nearly choked myself just now trying to figure how to wear this "neck band" style (so not at all over-the-head like I thought). I'll have to try this again later when I'm not sitting at work and am not wearing earrings.
Thanks for the tip! Also, let me know what you think about that email we got today regarding a former housemate...

I got the Coby brand. I briefly considered the ones that look kind of like the hands free thing you see for cell phones, but I thought that the 3-pack gave me more options for comfort. And it definitely took me a minute to figure out how to put on the bandless ones. I can't wear earbuds either- they either fall out or cause me pain (or both!). My mp3 player came with them, but I've not used them.
And yeah, that was an interesting email. On the one hand- party, on the other, party. I don't think that that's really my scene, considering who's throwing it, and since if you and Erich showed that would be a total of four people I'd know, I don't think I'm going to go.
