My lover stands, waiting for me...

And when I try to call him, I don't even get it to ring. Pout.

Also, HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my Daddy. Who doesn't read this, but still.

He was born the day before his mother's 21st birthday. That weirds me out. When my grandmother was my age, she had a toddler (and a husband). But I have a BA. So there.

I hate this kind of final. I don't won't to write papers. I want to go into a room, sit down, and answer some questions. I don't care if they're essay or multiple choice. I hate papers though. But I'm working on part of the Anthro final, which is two parts, kinda. The first is to do a collection of the essays we've had to write all semester. I'm going through them, and I've got comments of "good essay" on them. They're graded on a scale of 1-4, and I've gotten 4's on most, and 3's on the rest, mostly the ones I pulled out of my ass. Which means revising them and writing the 3 page intro shouldn't be too hard. Huzzah. And then I get the take-home tomorrow, which I know nothing about. Oy. And I have to finish the 15 page paper for Theory, which is going to kick my ass from here to next Tuesday. But that's too far, b/c I have to turn all of it in on Monday. After Monday, everything is done. Tuesday is not only my first day of freedom, but also the one year anniversary of my breaking up with Ashley. I only know this b/c I was thinking about where I was this time a year ago, and tomorrow is the day I flew home from Germany. Also my Grandmother's birthday. And then I went to Alfred. I'm planning on going to visit Mandy in Alfred next weekend, since she invited me and all... Going to talk about it with the parents. Last year, when I went home from Alfred, there was a horrible blizzard. Not fun for driving.

OK, back to papers. I hate this. Though maybe the way I'll write the Theory paper is to set it up as a series of questions to answer, which will lead to a long paper.

Just checked syllabi- the original papers were 4 points each, times 10. That equals 40%. The final set is 12%, and the final is 20%. Leaving 20% for participation (which I think I aced) and 8% on the "oral report" which I also nailed. So Anthro's looking good.

Of course, I also have to do laundry. And get more food. Oy.

PS- I'm watching TV in the common room, b/c I am laboring under the misapprehension that I will get more work done down here. The tv is f*cked up. It's a color tv, but the picture's in black and white at the moment. Was blue earlier...
