"And makes the world taste good"
Sep. 22nd, 2004 09:33 pmThis was in my CD Player and I had a decent day, so it fits.
They fixed the escalator, at my Metro! This is a very happy thing. Nothing like having to climb an escalator at the end of a long day. They're scary going down, and lots of energy going up. But it's fixed!! And there was much rejoicing.
My job would be the most boring thing ever except that Kate (the boss, not Kate of the seasoning variety) is fun to talk to. And I can chat on IM and read articles in the paper and on livejournal. Today, I made photocopies. Then we folded those copies into thirds and stuffed them in envelopes. We're doing it again tomorrow. But, I also get paid tomorrow I think, so we'll see.
Got to watch Gilmore Girls and One Tree Hill last night. None of you care, so I won't go on, but it was nice. Just one comment: they should raise the age minimum on marriage, or something. Because 18 year olds should just not be getting married. I'm making an Imperial Decree. I also made myself an icon, it's a blue lotus. :)
I think that's it. I love having a George Foreman grill. I grilled up marinated chicken today and put in with a salad and took it to work to have for dinner. Which reminds me. I walk from work to class (or vice-versa). My office is at 14th and K. Exhibit Design is at 21st (I think) and F. (These are ish, as neither's on a corner) So it's like 11 blocks to class, which takes about 30 minutes (3 min/block, not bad). But this is DC. And there are roads that stop, b/c there's a building, and then they start again on the other side. I wanted to go down 14th to F and then over. No can do. Big ole building. And so you have to keep going. I got to walk down E so it wasn't bad. And it was a nice day, and I walked by the White House and so there was the smell of grass, but we're definitely taking a different route next time. Maybe just straight over K and then down. I already just go straight on K to get to Theory.
And, speaking of Theory, I'm going to do my reading now.
Quick PS: not sure about this new update screen- I think I like it...
