I wish it would rain. I wish it had started raining the minute I got home and just gone crazy so that I wouldn't have to go to Tourmobile today.

ETA: yeah, we're still running all day, so it's off to work in my stylish uniform.
Damn.

ETA2: I was sitting on the platform, reading my paper, and the train was just pulling in when my phone rang. It was my supervisor telling me not to come in, because they'd just decided to close. So it's like having a snow day! I'm out the fare for the train, because I was already in the system, but c'est la vie. I came home and made a bowl of oatmeal and now I'm sitting here drinking tea and looking for good tv. And I'll do laundry and look for jobs today. But I can't do laundry until Lynn Rae wakes up.

1) This is the 1st of September, what do you want to accomplish by the 31st?
I want a job and a place to live while I do that job. And I want my exhibit finished and up on the wall.

2) What does September make you think about or feel?
School. Falling leaves. This is the first September in my memory when I don't have classes to go to.

3) September is the ninth month; can you name nine memories so far from this year?
Moving into my new place with Kate and Nathanael helping. Getting lost trying to move. Getting a new job. Breaking up with Gabe. Visiting Mandie for Hot Dog Day. Giving a big presentation for my historic preservation class. Graduation on the National Mall. Coming home from Liz's in the pouring rain and having to transfer to the bus because the train lines were flooded. Going to RFK stadium all by myself and sitting in nosebleed seats drinking a beer that cost more than the ticket.

4) What does September have in common with three other months and can you name them?
October, November, December= all months named for Latin numbers.
December, March, June= months with the first official day of a new season (December- winter solstice, March- spring equinox, June- summer solstice, September-fall equinox)

5) The first weekend in September signals the end of summer for many even though it doesn’t really end for weeks. When does summer end for you?
Normally I'd say when school starts up, but I'm not going back. I suppose when fall tv starts again. But I didn't really have a summer, so....
