Jun. 4th, 2006 10:25 pmSo, I'm watching a rerun of Grey's Anatomy, and George (the love of my life) is all distressed that he looks like Meridith (the love of his life)'s father. Now, I get that he thinks "there's no way that she wants to date her dad" except for the part where women often want to date their fathers. I look too much like my Dad to want to date someone who looks like him, but my favorite men (teachers, whatever) have usually been the ones that remind me of him. Which is why I get along so well with one of my dispatchers (well, I get along with them all, but there's one in particular who's a retired teacher and principal). And why I think that men should have to solve a Monday NY Times crossword before they get to take me out on a date.
Anyway, that was completely meaningless except that I was saying that it is true that women (at least some of us) want to marry men like our fathers, so finding out that you mind remind a girl of her father is probably a good thing, unless he was a bad guy.
