Moving to Tahiti

So, on Monday, the zipper on my left boot broke. I kind of knew it was only a matter of time, since it was warped, and this is the second pair of them (they're LL Bean, the first pair broke and got replaced). But the only other shoes I brought with me are heels, and the only shoes at home are sandals. So I had to borrow a pair of my mother's sneakers. Shoes just don't like me, it seems. If they don't break, they give me blisters. So, my solution to this problem is to move to Tahiti, where I can just be barefoot 24/7. And, I won't have to wear very many clothes- just some light gauzy flowy things to preserve my modesty. Might need to invest in massive quatities of sunscreen though, or risk painful sunburns and subsquent early death due to skin cancer (and that's not a way I'd like to go). But still, good plan, I think. Anyone wanna come?
Because of said broken boot, we went to Syracuse on Tuesday, to Carosel Mall, and got me new boots. These have no zipper, and slide on. They're not quite as tall, but I like them.
On Monday, we saw Meet the Fockers; on Tuesday, we say Kinsey; and today (Wednesday), we saw Vera Drake. Information and opinions regarding these films will follow in a seperate post (which you've probably read if I posted it before you got here, b/c of the whole "most recent at top" thing).
I also realized at dinner tonight that I didn't get anything for anyone, and I'm going to Kate's tomorrow for New Year's.
