Fly Me to the Moon
Dec. 17th, 2004 02:28 pmOK, so I finished my finals on Monday. Turned them in, and life is good. I went downtown afterwords to see the Tree and Menorah by the White House. ( Oooh, Shiny! )
They had toy trains running all around the tree, and a little tree for each state. It was nice. It needed people selling hot beverages though. Hot chocolate, tea, coffee, cider, and Gluhwein (yummy spiced hot red wine they have in Germany). And mabye roasted nuts (Chestnuts, Almonds, Peanuts), and hotdogs or popcorn. Then it would have been nicer.
Tuesday I did nothing much except straighten up my room a bit and do laundry. Also, we cleaned the refridgerator in my house, which was kind of fun. I did not go to Safeway and pick up my prescription, which I should have. Why? you ask? Because the pharmacy opens at 9 AM. I needed to be at the Metro station at nine to catch the train that would get me to the station where the bus is on time to get me to the airport an hour before the plane was supposed to leave. As it was, I got there at the same time as my boarding started (at least that's when the ticket said the boarding started). After checking in, waiting on the security line and then waiting for the stupid shuttle to the right terminal, I got to the gate right when the plane was supposed to leave. Fortunately, they let me on (as well as another gentleman who got there at the same time). Oy, the stress. Let that be a lesson to me. Had I been leaving from Syracuse, it proabably wouldn't have mattered, but Dulles is huge. I got home safe and sound though. niamh_bronwyn's party. Then home for Christmas, and then off to Kate's for New Year's (don't know when I'm leaving yet). And then off to DC again for another semester. Anyway, that's the "where is she?" update.
