Weirdness abounds
Oct. 31st, 2004 01:37 pmOK, so the LJ page is being weird. I don't know if it's a new layout or just server issues.
Church was good. I was late, again, but got there during the first hymn, so it's all good. The last hymn was "Amazing Grace" which is my favorite- I didn't even need the hymnal. There was a baby dedication, which was lovely as always- a beautiful little girl. Our minister is so good with babies. But since tomorrow is All Souls day (they kept saying it's today, but I'm pretty sure it's tomorrow), we talked about death and legacies. It was a good sermon. All about how our lives are examples to the next generation and we should think about that and create good legacies by the way we live.
But here is the weirdness- I tried to call Nathanael- no answer. I called my house- no answer. I talked to Kate for a bit (she called me), and then I tried to call Gabe- no answer. No one is answering their phones! Pick up people!!
I should go and do some grocery shopping and then come back here and read until I have to go to my group meeting. I haven't really eaten all day, and I should remedy that. And get food for the rest of the week.
Kate is coming on Friday, which makes me very happy. She is my first visitor who is not one of my parents. And she is the Kate, so... BTW, Kate, what do you want to do while you're here? Let me know. And email me your flight itinerary too, if you don't mind. Thanks.
It is an absolutely beautiful fall day here- I don't even need a jacket! And the leaves on the trees are beautiful colors (not quite special by New England standards, or even Alfred, but still).
I hope you all remembered to set your clocks back an hour (I would have forgotten, but was still up at 2 AM when my VCR set itself back for me). Happy Halloween
