A Brand New Month
Oct. 5th, 2004 08:12 pmOk, so I'm listed at work's staff page. For some reason, this makes me feel very good. Other things that make me feel good: people in other communitys thinking my hypotheses make sense, and people in my grad level classes thinking my ideas make sense (esp. the profs!). So life is good.
I'm still working on putting the answers to last month's contest together. It shouldn't take too long, I'm just being lazy. Kate won, prize is yet to be determined. This month, there shall be a brand new contest. I was gonna do something re: the election, but
apopipsqueak took care of that. This month, I will give you the name of a museum, and you have to tell me where it is. Research is allowed. I will post the answer in the next day's entry. So not so much time, but faster results. Also, in honor of October (every month is a chance for a new beginning, even if it's not New Year's), I'm gonna do 5 things I'm grateful for each entry.
Ok, recent events in my life: work is work, the boy is good, and I got to talk to him on the phone. But they said I was supposed to get 45 minutes and I only got 30. (it was only $5, but still) I think this may have something to do w/ cell phone to cell phone calling. But it's nice to hear his voice. Seeing him in person would, of course, be even better, but I'll take what I can get. Classes are good, but there may be some fun going on later, as midterms approach. I made many noises this evening watching Gilmore Girls but they were justified noises, as much exciting stuff was occuring. I apologize if housemates were confused. Also re: the house- the mouse is back, but between the floors. I can hear his little feet. And so can Emily the Cat. I'm hooked on The West Wing and I really like DC. I can see myself living here for a good long while. The parents are coming this weekend, which is always a source of much happiness. Other sources of happiness include my church, which has two fabulous ministers and a great congregation. They clap and the music is great and there's a full house every Sunday and it's just good. So that's that. I had a low-grade migraine yesterday, but I aquired generic Excedrin and the migraine was cured within about 30 minutes. Huzzah for the magic drugs. On Saturday, I went to the National Building Museum with the PBK young professionals. It's a cool building, and I learned about concrete. And met people, which was the point. So life is good.
5 things:
Verizon In-network calling
International calling cards
AIM
my church
sunshine and blue skies
This entry's museum: The Cowgirl Museum
