Baseball players should not fight. It is, as the boy would say, "stupid and dumb and not smart." I do not like watching people fight. If I did, I'd watch boxing. I am a fan of baseball because it is a civilized game. Bench-clearing brawls are not civilized. Now, I understand emotions running high, and being upset when someone throws a very hard ball very fast at your teammate's head. But you're not gonna solve a blasted thing by fighting. You're just gonna get people kicked out of the game, and then not be able to help your team win. And sometimes, a pitch at the guy's head is just lousy control. Pitchers are human (maybe). They're not perfect. So sit down. And for the love of Cooperstown, don't throw 70 year old coaches to the ground. (yeah, I know it happened a year ago, it's still wrong)
Oh, also, when you're an athlete, you don't deliberately get to do things that could hamper your ability to do what you get paid obscene amounts of money to do. You do not get to punch the wall hard enough to break your hand and not get into trouble. Go sit in the corner and think about what you've done young man.
As soon as this game is over, it's suppertime.
