Does the Solstice (sorry, I had to) technically have gift giving and receiving associated with it? It would seem to me (coming from an area where people might actually be stupid-sun-worshiping-type-people) that the whole institute of gift giving and receiving would be against the whole entire concept of worshiping the sun (and therefore the winter solstice).
